Every month, Glimmer Garden MicShop opens its doors to artists, dreamers, and seekers—a space where expression is sacred, art is a conversation, and community is the heartbeat. This is more than an open mic. More than a pop-up gallery. More than a gathering. It is a movement.

Here, art is not a product—it’s a practice. A practice of healing, storytelling, and transformation. A practice of shifting narratives, challenging systems, and dreaming beyond the limits imposed upon us. Whether you are a poet, painter, dancer, comedian, musician, sculptor, or simply someone who values the power of creation, you belong in this space.

Why Glimmer Garden?

A glimmer is the opposite of a trigger—those fleeting moments that spark joy, peace, or hope. Moments that remind us we are alive, connected, and capable of transformation. This concept, shared by my therapist, reshaped the way I move through the world. Instead of being bound to past pain, I began to train my mind to recognize possibility. Art does the same thing—it reminds us that there is more to this life than survival.

The Glimmer Garden MicShop exists to cultivate these moments. It is a space for radical imagination, where we step away from the exhaustion of struggle and into the power of creation. Through artistic expression, we release what no longer serves us and plant seeds for a world where we are seen, valued, and free.

How It Works

🔹 The MicShop – An Open Mic for All Art Forms

• Sign up online for $5 (early registration) or at the door for $5 (limited spots).
  
  
• Perform for up to 6 minutes, with an optional 4-minute conversation with the audience afterward.
  
  
• Open to all genres—poetry, monologues, dance, comedy, live music, storytelling, and more.
  
  
• Pole and aerial artists are welcome with advance sign-up.
  
  

🔹 The Show & Sell Exhibit – A Space for Visual Artists

• Submit artwork for $5 per piece (up to 24"x24") or secure a 5'Wx6'H wall space for $50.
  
  
• Artists can choose to contribute a piece to the monthly house raffle, receiving a percentage payout of ticket sales while supporting the sustainability of Glimmer Garden.
  
  
• All visual artists receive a reserved 5-minute mic slot to discuss their work with the audience.
  
  

🔹 A Fully Equipped Creative Sanctuary

• WOW Café Theater provides a drum kit, plug-in capabilities, bass amp, wireless mics, projector, and full sound system for performers.
